姚明于1980年9月12日出生在上海市徐汇区，本籍江苏省苏州市吴江区震泽镇。1998年4月，姚明中选王非执教的国家队，开端篮球生计。2001年夺得CBA常规赛MVP，2002年夺得CBA总冠军以及总决赛MVP，CBA生计别离3次中选CBA篮板王以及盖帽王，2次中选CBA扣篮王。

国家队方面，姚明从2000年开端代表国家队参与奥运会，在2004年雅典奥运会率队打入八强，在2008年北京奥运会上姚明再次带队闯进八强。
